You are invited to consider a position as an IR Tech in Interventional Radiology. This role involves working four 10-hour days per week and participating in 10-11 call shifts per month, including weekends. Candidates with experience in CV Tech, Cath Lab Tech, EP Tech, and Vascular IR Tech are encouraged to apply.
Job Overview
- Shift: Days, four 10-hour shifts per week, with call shifts included on weekends
About the Unit
- Unit consists of 7 suites holding rooms and 2 cath labs.
- Common cases include all cardiac adults, peripheral, cardiac cath, PCI, and devices, but not EP or ablations.
- Charge nurse manages the day’s flow and assignments but can assist with cases if needed.
- Cath Lab team generally consists of 2 RNs and 1 tech.
- Orientation includes 2 shifts with a preceptor and a buddy call for the Cath Lab.
- Scrubs are provided; RNs wear Navy Blue and Rad Techs wear Burgundy.
- Call requirement for techs matches RN schedule.
- Floating to Non-Invasive CV may be required at times.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Cath Lab.
- ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist – ARRT (R) verification required.
